Sympathy Card

Just in case people are checking in a worrying I am fine but just too busy to blog for a while. I had to make a sympathy card this week and realised how few cards I see for these occasions that I like. For me a card for these occasions is a delicate balance that has to do so much. Something you know suits the person grieving but in your own style,  using all of your usual techniques but not looking too playful, sensitive to the occassion but not too sad.

I somtimes think it is sensible to make several at a time but then realize it is more meaningful when you take the time to think of those involved as you make it. As its the first card I have made in a long time I thought I would take time to check in and share it.

As its Wednesday I am also going to link up with WOYWD.

  1. You're right, one style of sympathy card may be right for one but not another. I think that's a lovely card, it's pretty but understated.

  2. Very beautiful, I tend to make a bundle when I have found a layout that feels right. Never an easy card to make what ever the circumstance but I love how the words fade into the background. Thanks for sharing WoywW Tracey #3

  3. I have trouble making cards, and sympathy cards are the hardest. I agree that they should be very personal, so the recipient knows you thought of them. Yours is truly GORGEOUS. Happy WOYWW from # 8.
